Part of our innovative approach to providing our services is to utilise modern technology such a remote access to our clients computerised accounting packages via Virtual Private Network (VPN).

This technology enables us to log-in to your system in order to:

• Complete your financial statements on your live system – saving time in having to reconcile ‘your’ file to ‘our’ file once the financial statements are prepared.
• Regularly (i.e. monthly or quarterly) reconcile your management financial statements to ensure you have accurate financial data regarding the trading position of your business throughout the year.
• Work on your file at times that are convenient to you
• Save you time and money in on-site visits by us to collect information and reconcile the accounts
• Assist you with software and processing queries – we can quickly log on and fix any problems you may be experiencing

As part of our dedication to providing our clients with timely accurate advice, if we are unavailable to take your call we undertake to respond to you within half an hour. By being available to you at all times, at times convenient to you and being part of the management team, we aim to reduce your worries and give you back the lifestyle you deserve.

Most accounting firms are time-base businesses, selling hours x $ per hour. However the hours by hourly-rate formula does not reflect the value or benefit that a Client obtains from taking advice.

At MJ Accountants our price is set by the value you, the user of our services, receives rather than the time spent delivering that service.
Our policy is to negotiate with you an annual fee, which covers a defined list of services. Usually, this fee is payable monthly in order to smooth the impact to your cash-flow. Any new work or work not covered in the initial agreement is charged separately.
